I remember the first day I laid eyes on California. It had been a 4-day road trip in an old moving van rubbing elbows with my mother and my brother. It must have been 2 am. We’d been driving all day. I was going in and out of consciousness but when I caught a glimpse of sweet California, I was wide awake. It was nothing but lights. It’s as if the moment took place in slow motion. One flips and I was in love. I was scRed to leave. Everything I knew, for a place I’d never been to but when I saw it I knew it was right. Somehow looking at all those lights. I knew that all my dreams would come true.
5 years later, I defiantly have a less magical outlook on California. A lot can happen in that time in Southern California and a lot has. We’ve shared ups and downs and merry go rounds. But this place is still special. I love all the different faces, the different cultures, the different accents, each person having their own unique story to tell, each story filled with its own wisdom.
There are a lot of dreamers here. Some dreamers dreams come true, and others crack under pressure, pack up, and head north, leaving their pains behind them. Some even become homeless to stay here. A dream is much like the birthing process. It starts in the pit of your stomach and it grows into something beautiful, and it hurts like hell to bring it to life, but it’s so worth it.
5 years is a long time to dream, it’s an even longer time to…
I love California and because I love it so much it’s hard to leave, but my dream is to travel and recently that dream has come true. Even though it’s hard to say goodbye California will always have a special place my heart
It’s the place where my dreams came true
I will forever be California dreaming.
Live a life that’s music to your ears!
